Gov. Robert Bentley is speaking at the Mid-Alabama Republican Club (MARC) this weekend.

MARC is one of the oldest Republican organizations in Alabama and meets the second Tuesday of every month. This Saturday marks the group’s November meeting.

“We’re excited the governor is paying us a visit,” said MARC President Ken McFeeters. “With all the recent activity in Montgomery concerning the state budget, it will be interesting to hear his perspective about our fiscal future.”

The meeting is open to the public, and there is no admission to attend. However, there is a voluntary collection during the meeting to help offset program costs. The meeting is at Vestavia Hills Public Library and starts with breakfast and fellowship at 8:30 a.m., and the meeting starts at 9 a.m.

As with other meetings, reports from the Jefferson County Commission and Jefferson County Legislative Delegation will be presented.
