Vestavia Hills Chamber alerts business community to scam

A group claiming to work with the Vestavia Hills High School cheer coach is a scam that businesses should be wary of, according to the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce.

The group, called VHH Touchdown Sports, is asking businesses to purchase a banner for $800 or T-shirt sponsorship ranging in price from $300 to $700. That group, however, does not work with the VHHS Athletic Department.

“This is a scam and the VHHS Athletic Department is NOT part of this nor will they be any part of this,” a note in the chamber newsletter said. “They are selling false advertising and we hope that no one has bought into this.”

The only company authorized to work with the VHHS Athletic Department is 5 Star, based out of Arkansas, according to the newsletter.
