Sprouts Farmers Market bumps up opening date

Vestavia Hills residents will have a new grocery store specializing in fresh, healthy foods sooner than expected.

A new Sprouts Farmers Market on Montgomery Highway, which was set to open April 13, has moved up its opening date to April 6. The Arizona-based grocery chain first announced its Vestavia Hills location in November 2014, and the building across from the new city hall has been under construction for several months.

The store will open at 7 a.m., and the first 200 shoppers in line will receive 20 percent off their purchase. There is also a ribbon cutting set for opening day. 

Sprouts Farmers Market is located at 1031 Montgomery Highway, in the same shopping center as Chipotle Mexican Grill and Papa Murphy's Pizza.
