On Saturday, Crossfit Over the Mountain is offering the chance to work out and raise money for KultureCity in just 10 minutes.

The 5th annual WODism for Autism will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the gym at 1056 Montgomery Highway. Crossfit coach Dawn South said the name of the event comes from WOD, a Crossfit term for workout of the day.

The WOD for April 30 is called Taylor, named after South's son, who has autism. The 10-minute workout is based on gymnastics and body weight routines that her son enjoys, and can be adjusted for kids and adults of any fitness level.

All are welcome to walk in and complete the WOD throughout the day for a donation of $40, and they will receive a T-shirt. They can also buy just the T-shirt for $20 or a $25 raffle ticket to win a gymnastics certification course. South said 100 percent of the proceeds will go to KultureCity.

The gym that collectively raises the most money throughout WODism for Autism will win an assault bike, and the second place team will win a men's olympic barbell. Individuals will be competing for kettlebells, apparel and other fitness gear.

South said WODism for Autism has raised up to $12,000 in a single day before, and this year she'd like to break $15,000 in donations.

"I think that would be phenomenal ... I'd love to do that for them," South said.
